Once this new arrangement has been implemented removing all the congregations as registered charities the CC will have no jurisdiction whatever. I wonder if this is one of the reasons for the move. The WT Society of Britain will claim all the tax refunds etc.
Sad to say this programme with Victoria Derbyshire is being axed as part of the BBC cost cutting exercise. More likely a case she has asked a few too many pointed questions over the years.

it was announced today that we will have a special weekend meeting next month.
it will be 3 hours long and will include some streamed content.. no explanation was given as to what the meeting will be about, only that it will be exciting and we will not want to miss it..
Here in the UK we have our meeting on Saturday 23 May 2020. We have these every couple of years or so with a US visitor. All connected to Chelmsford or London or wherever.
The rep this year is William Turner, whoever that is.

I understand that most congregations signed over their KH to the KHT back in about 2014. That is how they are able to sell off KH's and combine congregations already. This is about getting the last bit of cash and removing any prying eyes in the Charity Commission.
What will happen in Scotland where congregations are not registered with the Charity Commission?

i have heard from a reliable source that the witchpower libel and crap society with it's governing body stands unified by a 5 year plan to introduce what they call "pure language".the rank and file have accepted saying there is room for improvement in our language:in the first year, "s" will be used instead of the soft "c".

i didn't expect it, but then he goes into the precursors to the bible students who, when their dates failed, changed christ's presence to have happened 'invisibly'.
then it goes right into the jws, and he reads the quote from millions now living will never die about how we can 'confidently expect' the resurrection in 1925, and then the life everlasting book that predicted 1975. of course, he doesn't say how it's still going on, namely with the overlapping generation and its' accompanying convoluted chart, but still, this is more than they've ever said on the subject, especially recently.. it almost sounds like a forced statement, to address any backlash from people reading 'apostate lies' online, because he also says how the gb 'humbly' admitted mistakes, referencing the non-apology after 1975 that disturbed raymond franz.

If the elders and members of my congregation are anything to go by, this will sail by them without being noticed. In the past I have asked various ones in the congregation, including elders, what they thought of an item in a Monthly Broadcast and always received a blank stare or a "not had time to watch it yet".
We used to have a monthly meeting to play the broadcast for those without access to a computer but this quickly faded out due to lack of support.
The analytical skills of the average JW should not be compared with those of members of a board such as this.
